I’m Carl Morcy, Founder and Principal Consultant at Digital Revolution LLC, a firm dedicated to modernizing IT lab computing for the next generation of life sciences innovators.

With over half a decade of robust desktop engineering and lab computing experience right in the heart of Cambridge, MA, I’ve operated at the intersection of scientific R&D and enterprise IT — ensuring laboratory systems remain compliant, secure, scalable, and aligned with scientific workflows.

My background includes working for a leading global lab informatics provider, where I delivered hands-on lab computing services to some of the most innovative biopharma organizations in the world. I’ve also served over 14+ life science clients across various domains — including gene therapy, small molecule, and biologics — through a top-tier IT consultancy.

From remediating complex regulated environments and supporting GxP-aligned data infrastructures, to orchestrating endpoint management, backup strategies, and system validation for chromatography, ELN, and LIMS platforms — I’ve seen firsthand the gaps that exist between IT support and scientific utility.

Digital Revolution was founded to close those gaps — to provide fit-for-purpose, lab-aware IT solutions for preclinical biotech and early-stage R&D teams. Delivering strategic consulting to support lab environments—ensuring alignment between IT infrastructure and scientific objectives, with a focus on security, data integrity, and usability.
